Day #73 (Wed., Mar. 17, 2010) – 14lbs 6oz

Little Katie likes four songs that I sing to her. I started by singing Michigan J. Frog’s Hello My Baby, but I have since discovered that she likes two other songs that she enjoys even more. I can tell by how she squeals and smiles when I sing them. Ranked in order of “squeal appeal”, these songs are:

1) Baby Face
2) This Old Man
3) Hello My Baby
4) Old MacDonald

Little Katie is growing like a weed. It looks like we are almost ready to retire the “little froggy costume” and the “trendy convict outfit” (see photo to the left).

Little Katie weighed in at 14lbs 6oz yesterday, and the bassinet’s top layer is only good for 15 lbs, so we might need to remove it soon…

7:40pm and little Katie is not calming down. My wife and I decided that we had to take her for another drive. I stopped off for a McDonald’s black coffee while on the way. My wife was saying how she need to somehow get some time to study, and I said that tonight was a perfect example of how to proceed. I’m free in the evenings, and if little Katie is fussy, I can just bundle her up and drive her around. She always calms down when she is in the car. There was no need for my wife to be there…she could stay home and study and get a few hours in til we get back. This is our current plan of attack. We’ll see if little Katie will cooperate.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
————————————
1) Little Katie has retired a couple more outfits.
2) We have devised a “study plan” for my wife.
