Day #97 (Sat., Apr. 10, 2010) – RainForest Jumperoo

Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo

When I woke up this morning little Katie was in her Rainforest Jumperoo (be sure to check out our full-length jumperoo review at: Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo). It is quite the contraption. Here are the specs for the Jumperoo:

  • Tons of safe jumping fun (which will activate Rainforest music & lights)
  • A bobbing elephant, swinging monkey, spinning lizard and more that baby will just “go wild” for
  • Baby spins drum to activate lights and music
  • Soft spring covers keep little fingers safe
  • 3-position height adjustment ensures a custom fit for your child

It’s interesting to note how I found out about this great little toy (photo to the left). When I learned that my wife was pregnant I went onto Amazon to search for potential toys. I searched via the number of stars, and was amazed that this one item had about 700 reviews that were 4 out of 5 and above (I don’t recall the exact statistics but it was around this). I had never seen an item so highly recommended, so I just had to check it out. I remember the reviewers saying how great this was…the baby loved it and they could go get some work done. I was sure that we were going to have to get one at some point for our child.

Little Katie is fussy this morning. Not sure why…we have tried everything. The final solution in this circumstance is for daddy to take her out for a drive. I did…and she fell asleep as soon as the car left the driveway.

Another harness-walk around the neighborhood this afternoon. When I got back we had a Skype Session with my mother.

We think that little Katie might be teething (getting her first teeth). We saw some little white dots on her lower gums this afternoon. This might explain why she has been so fussy as of late.

I got my guitar out of storage this evening and played a few chords for little Katie. Her feet were moving like mad so I take it she liked it. I let her strum on the strings for a bit with a pick.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Little Katie seems to really like music.
