Day #2972 (Sat., Feb. 24, 2018) – Lunch With Samantha
Samantha, one of Katie’s counsellors at art camp last year took her to Magic Mushroom on Franklin Street today for lunch. Samantha’s mother and grandmother were there as well. They dropped Katie off back home when lunch was over. They bought Katie a pink “Peep” lollipop that she shared with Bobby.
Daddy/Daughter Day #66 today. I took Katie to see the movie “Peter Rabbit” at the Lumina Theater (see photo to the left). Their drink machine was broke so we had a choice between tea and water. Katie wanted water…but they didn’t give us a discount. Go figure…
After the show, we stopped off at McDonalds where Katie got a chocolate-dipped cone and I showed her how to blow bubbles with some “Big League Chew” bubblegum that I picked up a few weeks ago.
Just before we left McDonald’s I got a couple of Happy Meals for Katie and Bobby. Katie opted to take them home and eat them with Bobby. The toy was based on the “Peter Rabbit” movie, which was nice. Katie got some sort of a spinning Peter Rabbit and Bobby got a Peter Rabbit that shoots a carrot.
Guenther’s birthday party was today. We were not invited, but my wife stopped by afterward and Bobby enjoyed playing on their inflatable trampoline.
