Day #2975 (Tue., Feb. 27, 2018) – Bobby Orr Book
My wife got bags of dinosaurs from Amazon today (see photo to the right). We are gradually getting ready for Bobby’s birthday party.
I drove Katie and Helen to Glenwood this morning. We got talking about diaries and the fact that Katie would be having peanut butter and jelly for lunch today as it is “Taco Day”. I said what a great idea it would be to have a joint peanut butter and jelly diary…you could write on one page while you had your lunch on the other page. Silly thought, but they liked it…
I ordered the Bobby Orr book “My Story” this morning for Bobby’s birthday. It was written and signed by Bobby Orr, and is indeed hardcover. It will be a collector’s item and it will be a fun read for Bobby as he gets older to read about the guy he was named after. Even though my son Bobby is not into hockey, I was, and dad used to call me “Bobby” growing up as I was such a fan of Bobby Orr. So, in a way, my son is “Bobby Jr.”… 🙂
After my gym workout this evening I stopped off at the Pittsboro Wal-Mart on the way back from O2. I picked up three locking doorknobs, one for bedroom #2, one for Katie’s bedroom, and one for the hallway. We will be able to “coral” Bobby better once they have been installed.
