Today is Bobby’s first day as a “Fish” at preschool (see photo to the right). I dropped him off around 9:30 am. As expected, he didn’t cry or anything. He just made himself at home and started to read the books so I left. I came back to pick him up at 11:30 am. He told me that they read the book “Llama Llama”, about a llama that misses his mama. He also said that an alarm went off and they all went outside to play in the playground. When he got home I fed him some yogurt and put him to bed. He wanted me to sleep with him, so I did til he nodded off. When I came out of his room around 12:50 pm my wife was home from work.
While Bobby was at preschool I went to TJ’s and got some white bread. It is one of the few things that is in Katie’s “bag of foods” so I wanted to make sure it was around when she had the urge for a sandwich. Bobby will pretty well eat any kind of bread. Later today I saw a recipe for “Easy Lasagna”, where the main part of the lasagna is cheese ravioli. You spread spinach in between the layers. Gonna try that…
Feeling a bit under the weather so my wife went to Glenwood to pick up the girls at 2:30 pm today. Once she got home she went to bed for a nap and I tended to the kids. I took Bobby to swim class with Miss Barbara at 4 pm. I had to wake him up from his nap and was he ever fussy afterwards. He actually nodded off in the car on the way to the pool. Once he got to the pool he was fine.
My wife went to a parent-teacher meeting at Glenwood while I took care of the kids. Bobby was wound up to say the least. I tried: dominoes, etc. Gave both the kids a bowl of ice cream. My wife told me that the Chinese teacher gave all the parents cards so that they could write to their kids. The teacher plans to hand them out to the kids tomorrow.
