Day #3267 (Sun., Dec. 16, 2018) – Nutcracker Movie

I had Daddy/Daughter Day #76 with Katie today.  She wanted to see the “Nutcracker” movie, but we missed the November opening somehow.  As a result we had to drive out to the old “Blue Ridge” theater in Cary to see it (see photo to the right).  It has gone through some updates and is no longer $2.00 per movie.  It is now $5.00 a move, but we both enjoyed the show, so it’s still not too bad money wise.

This “Nutcracker” movie is so unlike the normal “Nutcracker” you see.  There was little dance and almost no singing.  In fact it’s more like a Harry Potter movie.  Still, we enjoyed it.

Before the movie I stopped off at AT&T in Cary to pick up a new cell phone, and then to McDonald’s for a Happy Meal for Katie.  After the movie I drove Katie around Cary and showed her where she spent the first two years of her life.  We then picked up a couple of Strawberry Shortcake ice creams at a gas station and heading for home.

This evening Bobby wanted to sleep with Katie so my wife let him.  We thought he might sleep through the night, but he started to cry.  When my wife went to pick him up he said that Katie would not stop talking and kept him up.  Well, he was asleep and Katie was asleep so that was clearly not the case.
