Day #3456 (Sun., Jun 23, 2019) – Packing For The Beach
We are all packing and getting ready for our trip to Carolina Beach. I got some pineapple drink from Trader Joe’s (see photo to the right)…Bobby loves the stuff. We plan to leave early tomorrow morning once the kids get up.
Katie was sick this morning so my wife took her to Urgent Care. She doesn’t seem to have anything serious, so we will wait it out. Perhaps a virus, so my wife gave her some ibuprofen and put her to bed. What bad timing for a kid to get sick… The week we are going to the beach for a bit of R&R.
There was a problem closing the van door, so I went to various auto parts stores to see if anyone could help me with a fuse, etc. No luck. We decided to use manual mode and deal with it when we get back from the beach trip.
Bobby has been asking about the “Green House”. This is Mary’s house on the beach that we stayed in last year. He still remembers the green color.
We will be taking three kites with us this year. The kite that I got about ten years ago when I lived in Cary, the Dollar Store kite that I believe I took to Carolina Beach last year, and the new “Firebird” kite that Aven gave Bobby for his birthday. I’m especially interested in getting the “Firebird” kite flying as Aven has been asking about it since he gave it to Bobby back in March. It will nice to be able to send them a photo of it flying in the sky.
