My wife and I got into a discussion on why boys are so into zombies these days. I think it might be because of the “Walking Dead” television show. They were barely a blip on my radar when I was growing up, but they are certainly the rage these days. I got her to order a Lego Zombie Minecraft Kit that Bobby and I can assemble together. I think he really misses the times in December when we used to assemble a little Lego man every day.
When I replaced the rope on the swing a few days ago I made a change to the rope position. I “switched” which side of the rope was under the other one. In this way, the kids can swing further towards the house without the other rope getting in the way (see photo to the left).
I also showed my wife a series of books on Minecraft Zombies that they are selling on Amazon. A bit too advanced for Bobby to read at his age, but my wife got a set of them at a discount on Etsy and plans to read to them to him when she puts him to bed. Hopefully they are not scary, or she will have to edit out the scary parts lest he have horrible nightmares.
Katie played computer games with Dylan and his younger sister today. This was the first time that they played computer games together in a long while. I guess it was his younger sister that initiated the session.
Big football games today. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills, so it will be the Buccaneers verses the Chiefs in two weeks for the Super Bowl. Let’s hope that none of the players comes down with COVID-19 before then…
