Day #4148 (Sat., May 15, 2021) – Figure Drawing Class
Katie had her first figure drawing class this evening. Her drawings came out quite well (see photo to the left). Her fashion class drawing teacher suggested that she take it.
Katie is learning how to draw figures the right way. I wished that I had learned to draw this way back when I was her age. I remember taking a drawing test by mail from the Art Instruction Schools in Minnesota. They said that I did well, but wanted me to sign up for classes. I didn’t, but in hindsight I wished I had. It would have helped me out immensely. When you think of all the time and money you spend on junk “this” or “that” over the years, what was a few bucks to learn how to draw better? This is one of the reasons we are not shying away from getting online instruction for Katie and Bobby.
