An “ice storm” is coming to town. We are out of milk so I decided that I would go for groceries early today as the stores are going to be packed. Such is the case when you live in the south and people talk about “ice and snow a comin…”. I was right! Trader Joe’s was packed (see photo to the left).
At Trader Joe’s I decided to pick up two gallons of milk in case we are snowed in. I also picked up some chocolate milk (as per my wife’s request).
I decided to go to Wegman’s as well. I picked up some “cotton candy” flavored squishable yogurt for Bobby, popsicles, and strawberry shortcake ice cream bars for Katie. They were totally out of rye bread for my wife, so I picked up some freshly baked multi-grain bread (which she loved). It was around 1pm and all of a sudden I heard this rooster crowing. It sounded like someone let a rooster into the store. As it turns out, it was a clock on the wall announcing a time. A replica rooster would come out of a little barn and everything…kind of like a cuckoo clock!
The kids did great at viola/violin practice this morning. Katie is getting better at holding the viola. Bobby said that he was a bit upset that the teacher didn’t ask him to perform in front of the rest of the class, so my wife talked to the teacher about it. She was very happy for the feedback as she said some students don’t want to perform in front of the others.
Katie is working with Dylan and a couple other friends to come up with new lyrics for the Frozen song “Let It Go” based on Minecraft characters. She sang it for my wife and I this evening.
