Day #4572 (Wed., July 13, 2022) – Social Security Checks For Kids!
I got a call from the Social Security Administration at 10:30 am this morning. I set up the call over a month ago to discuss child benefits on my retirement account. After asking me a series of questions, the lady said that I would bet getting $891 per month for each child. Not only that, but they would backdate their payments till when I started to get Social Security a few months ago. This means that I will get a check for $3564 * 2 = $7128 in my account on Friday! Sweet!
It started to rain this evening so we sent Ginger home early so she wouldn’t get wet. Low and behold, this evening we heard a bark on the door and there was Ginger! My wife let her in and actually took a blow dryer out to dry her hair. Of course we had to call this kids from the bedroom to see the sight!
Bobby and Katie had a sleepover this evening! Of course Maple wanted to join in (see photo to the left).
