I had a doctor’s appointment today and my wife and little Katie waited for me in the lobby. Many people stopped by to say what a beautiful baby she was. They stopped by later on to say what a well-behaved baby she was. She melted hearts in the lobby like she does at home.
I was playing with little Katie on the bed this evening and she leaned over with her mouth wide open and pecked me on the cheek. I think she is trying to mimic the fact that I kiss her from time-to-time.
The photo to the right clearly shows little Katie trying to stand. She will take every opportunity to become more mobile…and standing is part of the equation. We suspect that she will be able to stand by the time we go home to my mother’s place for Christmas. She will be so excited to see little Katie, let alone a “walking” version. We’ll have to do all we can to protect her Christmas tree from our little chipmunk.
We also played a bit with a toy clock that we picked up for her at a consignment sale. I had to take it away as she is trying to pull the hands of the clock towards her rather than move them around the dial. I was afraid that she might break it before I have the chance to teach her time.
