I drove Bobby to Glenwood early this morning, as he loves. I asked him why and he said that he loves to arrive early so that he can do his morning work, which is basically a series of homework assignments. Once this is done he can flip the page over and there is a “seek & find” type puzzle on the other side of the paper. He loves this activity! I told him that we used to get a magazine in the mail on a monthly basis that had this type of exercise but he didn’t remember them. They are in his bedroom, so my plan is to dig them up and have some father/son time!
Katie had her makeup math test in the library today. She told me that she was not alone, other students had to make up this test as well.
I picked up Katie at Phillips this afternoon. On the ride home we talked about her classmate Nico’s upcoming birthday party. She is not exactly sure what to get her. Her mother says that she likes jewelry, but Katie is not really sure if she does or not. I said that if in doubt some good options are personalized gift items, such as a photo mug, or perhaps even a “do it yourself” jewelry kit. She said that she might get her a hoodie as she apparently wears them to school a lot.
I picked up Bobby at Spence’s Farm this afternoon. When I arrived they were playing Uno, a card game (see photo to the left). On the drive home Bobby was real excited about the invitation Lucia gave him to come over and have a slumber party at her house. We’re waiting for Lucia’s mom to reach out and extend the invitation.
Bobby’s yearbook came today, so it was entertaining to see the various pictures of students and teachers and what transpired this past year.
