In the photo to the right you can see the “Corn On The Cobb” that I picked up at Harris-Teeter the other day. The kids love them when I cook them for 8 minutes in the air fryer. Swab them with butter and you are good to go!
This afternoon Katie, my wife, and I watched the movie “Julie & Julia” as it is about to leave Netflix at the end of the month. It is about Julia Child and the woman who attempted to cook all her recipes, and was the inspiration of this blog when my wife and I originally saw it in the theater back in 2009. Katie liked the movie, but it referenced a part where Julia was not impressed with Julie. I looked this up on the internet and there is some disagreement about this point, but I also did see that Julie died last year, in 2022, of a heart attack.
I made a whole bunch of potatoes in the pressure cooker today and the whole family enjoyed eating them. We gave a plate to Bobby and he liked them, but not the butter on top of them.
Ethan is going to visit his grandparents in West Virginia today, but apparently he will be available to play online from time-to-time.
There was a MASSIVE fire at the Mediterranean Deli on Franklin Street this afternoon.
Katie is working on a new novel. She didn’t like the old one once it was finished and wants to start a newer, “and better”, one.
