Day #4963 (Tue., Aug. 8, 2023) – Kidzoo

I took Bobby to Kidzoo this morning.  We picked up Ethan at 9:50 am at his house.  His mother paid for his ticket online.  I sat in the lunch area reading my Kindle for most of the time while the kids played.  The spent some time in the treehouse, and in the puppet area, but the two big draws were playing hide and seek and organizing pillows to jump on (see photo to the left).  We had to leave at 1:30 pm so that we could make it home in time for Bobby’s swim lesson this afternoon.  Ethan’s mom met us in the parking lot to pick up Ethan.

Bobby’s swim lesson went well.  My wife took him and Katie went along for moral support.  The teacher told Bobby to keep his legs together when he swims.  Bobby is interested in taking swim lessons so that he can pass the test at Clark Pool and thereby go into the deep end by himself without adult supervision.

Bobby put the neighbor’s chickens to bed tonight.  He told me that you need to be sure to count that there are four of them before you shut the door.  Apparently it’s not easy to do as it’s dark inside the coop.  I suggested that he take a flashlight with him.

Batman was meowing in the basement this evening.  Katie didn’t want to take him to her room as she wants to go to bed early and get ready to get back to her normal school time schedule.
