Day #5240 (Sat., May 11, 2024) – Concert In The Park!

Bobby is not feeling well this morning, so he stayed home.

Katie wanted to have a “play date” (do we still call them this at this age?) with Greta today, but first up, she needs to accompany Miss Patricia at her “Concert In The Park”. Since Miss Patricia can’t get a piano to the park she is depending on Katie’s viola to help out. Little Kate came over to say bye to Katie (see photo to the right).

Since there are protests by UNC students over the Gaza War spilling over to Franklin Street this afternoon, Katie and Greta decided to meet at South Point Mall. My wife drove them there after the concert. I stayed home and tended to Bobby. Hopes were to get him to take a nap, but he couldn’t put himself to sleep on his mattress on the floor (bed on the way to Courtenay). I made him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch with a glass of milk and went and had a nap myself.

Instead of South Point Mall, the girls decided to go see the “Fall Guy” movie at Silver Spot Theater. It’s probably based on the TV-series of the same name from the 1980s.

My wife spent quite a bit of time taking what remains of our belongings over to Arnesa. Less than a week from today we are “out of here”.

I finished watching the Seinfeld movie “Unfrosted” on Netflix earlier today. It’s been panned by the critics, with one saying that it was the worst movie of the decade! I actually liked it. It had a lot of funny twists on life in the early 1960’s, when Jerry was a boy…
