My wife sent me a link to a plastic turtle pool that also doubles as a sandbox. We might get Katie two of these for the patio when spring comes. One for a sandbox…one for a pool. Nice to be a kid.
I was talking to a friend at work today about how Katie gets frustrated when we don’t understand what she is trying to tell us. She will point at something and if we don’t realize what she wants she will start to yell out louder “Ta” until we get it. My friend said that baby sign language helped her out immensely. In a nutshell there are hand signals that you can use to communicate with your child. My wife and I think that we might start to use some of these signals…especially for the simple activities like “I’m thirsty”, or “I’m hungry”, or “I’m sleepy” (which we don’t think she will utilize even if she is sleepy)…
I was giving Katie a bath this evening and when I gave her the big yellow duck (see photo to the left) she yelled out “TAAA”. Boy was it ever loud. The sound reverberated around the bathroom…my ears are still ringing.
