Day #5375 – (Mon., Sept. 23, 2024) – Bobby’s New Gi!

I had my last Paxlovid last night and I’m actually feeling pretty good this morning. I just might not need antibiotics this time… Hopefully in a few days I will be able to go back to work on the garage… Finger’s crossed!

In class today Bobby had PE (i.e: Physical Education Class). He ran a lot and played “line tag”. Line tag is a game where there are lines across the gym floor and the kids have pool noodles. You can only run on the lines and you can’t tag the person who tagged you back. They also played “Binge Ball” where if you get hit you have to go to the other teams’ bench. All this physical activity is certainly good for Bobby… He gets a lot more of it here than he ever got in Chapel Hill!

My wife took the kids to their meetings this afternoon. They left at 4:05 pm and dropped Katie off at 4:20 pm for her orchestra rehearsal. She then drove to the Native Sons Hall in downtown Courtenay for Bobby’s taekwondo class (see photo to the right). We purchased Bobby’s new uniform, gi, today. The instructor looked over the belt requirements from the ones at Bobby’s dojo in Chapel Hill. Apparently they are the same up until black belt.

Katie met another viola player at orchestra rehearsal. Her name is JP and she gave Katie her number in case she had questions or needed help.
