Gavin wants to get together with Katie after school and suggested either the swimming pool or a playground. They decided upon the Huband Elementary School playground as he lives right near it.
Our hens have stopped laying eggs and we are not exactly sure why. There was one in the nest today, but they used to give one or two a day on a regular basis. I sent a text to Maureen to see if she has ever experienced this before.
I also see that our friend Mr. Rat is back… I left him a little “package” this evening, some peanut butter, riche, and flax seeds on a mechanical device!
After playing a bit of “The Secret Door” board game (see photo to the right), my wife took the kids across the street to “Grey Gables” this evening to meet Gelert, a two year old very excitable puppy. We will be taking care of him while the family is away on a trip.
I went out for a drive this evening and tried out the new RBC Master Card that I received today. I was able to get a small coffee at McDonalds no problem. It’s great to now have a credit card based in Canada and not the US. Hopefully this will solve a lot of our problems in purchasing things online.
When I returned home this evening I saw a bunny hopping in our garden. I wonder why we have been losing vegetables?
I must say, the pears that our neighbor Caroline gave us (see photo to the left) are delish!
I’m “inspired” to play the guitar, so I took my Les Paul to the “Barn Suite”. It’s a heavy little guitar… I can see why a lot of rockers don’t use it in concert.
I signed up to Duolingo later this evening. We have a family plan as my wife and Katie are learning French. I’m going to learn Spanish for the next couple of months.
