Happy Birthday Bobby! (see photo to the right)! Bobby’s friends came over after school today to celebrate it with him. My wife bought some “local pizza” and I guess the kids devoured it. She also bought a DQ Oreo Cake. They ran around the house and played a lot of laser tag! We called up Bobby this evening to wish him Happy Birthday! I would have never thought that we would not be in Courtenay celebrating it with him.
When I got up this morning to enjoy my cup of coffee at the dining room table I could see a plane land in the harbor via my commanding view via the patio window! What a beautiful place this is! We picked up some “Arrowroot Biscuits” at the service station in Qualicum Beach, so I enjoyed some of those as well.
We are waiting for Batman’s CAT scan to come back…
This afternoon I took Katie to the Mayfair Shopping Center in downtown Victoria as it has a lot of shops that Katie likes. She bought some Levi jeans while I read my Kindle at the food court. None of the food that they were offering appealed to us, so we decided to drive around and find something else…
We ended up at Mount Tolmie, a mountain on the way to the University of Victoria. I had no idea that a mountain of this elevation existed in Victoria! We would see the city skyscrapers and harbor below us from the lookoff point!
We had a great quick tour around the University of Victoria and could see the Student Union building, etc. via the traffic circle in the middle of it…
Next up was Papa John’s Pizza at 1885 Fort Street. We talked to the owner a bit. He owned the Tesla Cybertruck parked outside and said that he loved it. He actually waited 2 years for it!
This evening we drove out to Langford in the dark to visit Batman. While Katie held him he started up at me and even reached out his hand. He looked so helpless being drugged and with the plastic cone on his head.
