Katie and I went to the White Spot Restaurant, just across the street from the WAVES Veterinarian Clinic, while we waited to see Batman this afternoon. While we waited for our food to be served Katie went to the nearby pet store to pick up some treats for Batman.

Katie had the pancakes but didn’t like the frozen strawberries they had on top. I had their club sandwich with a blueberry milkshake.
Our appointment was to see Batman at noon, and since he was still groggy from the surgery, we went to see him in his cage in the back (see photo to the right). They put him in a large dog cage for some reason, perhaps because they were out of cat cages?
Even though Batman was still groggy, he did try to eat one of the treats that Katie bought for him. He seemed to recognize the familiar smell.
After our visit with Batman we went to Quality Foods, which was just a few doors away. I picked up some Robitussin for my cough. I also picked up some sausage rolls and Katie bought a ham sandwich. This particular Quality Foods didn’t have a 2nd floor coffee shop!
At 11 pm this evening we went to see Batman again. We were with him for an hour this time. He was a bit more alert, which was nice.
Bobby had a party at school today as this is the last day of school before “Spring Break”. The had food brought in, which is nice! The kids, including Katie at Vanier, are off for two weeks. Next week they will be enjoying a “healthy” Batman in Courtenay and then they are off for a week’s vacation in Vancouver!
