We had to check out of our Air B&B at 11 am this morning, and were planning to move into another Air B&B for another night’s stay, but Batman is doing so well that the vet is going to let him go home today. The vet told us to arrive around 1:45 pm and he would be ready.

Katie and I drove to McDonalds for breakfast. I had the Egg McMuffin and Katie had the pancakes (see photo to the right).
We drove around and saw a bit of Langford. We ended up at a new subdivision that is being built. I went into the new Quality Foods. They have a “food court” type of a scenario where you can order your food and take it to the dining area. No 2nd floor coffee shop though.
We arrived at the vet’s around 1 pm and told them that there was no rush, but if they wanted to leave Batman early we were here.
They brought Batman out and gave us a long talk about his med, which I took a video of, and we were off. The total bill? $16,546.84!
The initial plan was to put Batman on Katie’s lap, but he was roaming around so much we put him back in the crate. He was meowing a lot. Had problems with the cone and would just get tired and fall asleep.
Nice sunny day to drive. We ended up at the Tim Horton’s just outside Nanaimo, near the hotel that had the waterslide that Bobby liked, for a bathroom break. Neither of us felt that Tim Horton’s was appealing, so I picked up some jalapeno chips and a lemonade and we were off.
We arrived in Courtenay after 5pm. Batman was so happy to have his cone off. Took furniture out of Katie’s room, and bed on floor, so Batman wouldn’t jump, as he’s not allowed.
It’s sure good to be back in my ole’ bed. I think that last Doxycylone pill I took this morning did the trick! I think I’m good to go now…
