Batman is settling in to his routine again after his first night’s sleep in Courtenay after a week in a cage in Victoria. He seems much more energetic and thankful to be home! He’s running around Katie’s room and purring and looking for pets. Who knows, this might be his “normal” personality. It takes times for those gallbladder stones to develop, so he might have been sick for quite a while.
All of the “high” furniture in Katie’s room has been removed so that Batman will not jump up on it and potentially rip over the surgery scars. This includes the cat tree and even Katie’s bed! Katie is sleeping on the mattress on the floor for a while, and Batman enjoys roaming around the room and coming up to her for “huggies” every now and then.

This evening, Batman even fell asleep on Katie (see photo to the right). Much more comfortable than sleeping in a crate I’m sure! You can see him sporting his new “Blue Sweater” so that he won’t rip his scars open.
I’m still tired from coughing, but it appears that the “gurgling” sound in my lungs is gone, which is good. At any rate, I seem to be sleeping a lot more restfully, which is key. I even had enough energy to go out this afternoon and get some more chicken feed and chicken scratch at Shar-Kare down the road. While there I saw a big black cat and the boy who brought the bags of feed to my car told me that he is great to keep the mice and rodent population down near the feed.
Bobby played virtually until 4 pm today and then worked on the solar system Lego set that he got for Christmas.
