Day #5554 – (Fri., Mar. 21, 2025) – Arcade Birthday Party!
Bobby went to Dominic’s birthday party this afternoon. Bobby made him a card and gave him a Lego set as a present. The party was held at an “arcade type” AirBnB (see photo to the right). Bobby said that he had a much easier time playing the games today as Dominic’s father (or step father) gave him some tips. When we took the kids to the arcade in Greensboro the fact that most of the games were in Japanese didn’t help.
My wife and Katie went to Costco to get snacks for the trip to Vancouver on Sunday. Katie did a lot of packing for the trip this afternoon.
I had a chat with ETrade today regarding the documents I uploaded last night. They have received my passport info, and W-9 form, and are processing my request to transmit funds to my wife’s checking account, but it will take a day or two to process. Moving to Canada means that I need to go through extra hoops to get this money to Canada… I also have a ROTH with Fidelity, and they have an office in Canada, so potentially they might not present as many “hoops” to go through. In fact, I contacted them today and they said that although I could not link my Canadian bank account, they would wire the money to my Canadian bank account for free! Hmmm… I’m thinking of transferring some of my ETrade ROTH funds to Fidelity to see how it goes…
Batman is still enjoying the “high life” in Katie’s room. He loves his snuggly little blue sweater! When I patted him he started to purr… One week ago today he was recovering from his surgery. Tomorrow I will get the “low down” on the meds that he needs to take while the rest of the family is in Vancouver next week.
