At the Courtenay end of the equation daddy is trying to determine if he can outsmart Batman when it comes to taking his blue antibiotic pill. I saw a YouTube video online where this woman is able to get her cat to take it’s medicine by putting it at the end of a tube of food. So, I tried that (see photo to the left). Batman loved the food, but would go so far as to eat all the chicken up to the med. Once he either saw or smelt the pill, that was it, he stopped… Round #1: Batman!

Next up, later in the day, I went to Pet Smart as I heard they sell these little “Pill Pockets” that you can hide cat treats in. They had the salmon flavor, but a lady online said that her cats only ate the chicken flavor, so I went to “Woofy’s” Pet Foods near the Real Canadian Superstore to pick up the chicken version. I followed the directions precisely, which is not have the hand that is touching the pill touch the treat. Batman stared at it, and even went so far as to smell it, but didn’t take a bite. I even went so far as to put it inside some of his canned cat food, which he loves. He ate around it (see photo to the right)! Round #2: Batman!
I still have one trick up my sleeve that I will tell you about tomorrow… It’s funny how giving meds to a dog is so much easier! Just put it in their food and they will “wolf” it down before even realizing it.
On the positive end of the equation, Batman has finished off his container of eye drops, so catching him, holding him, and putting them in his eyes is one less thing I need to contend with.

In Vancouver the “fam” took a bus to Canada place and then a shuttle to Capilano suspension bridge park (see photo to the left). Bobby said it was very scary. They got some hot chocolate to warm up and calm down.
They then went for a walk on tree-tops trail (a bit similar to the trail leading to the Malahat skywalk). After that they went on the suspension bridge again and went on a cliff walk. Got Bobby a hoodie in the gift store.
A shuttle brought them back to Canada Place where they went to Flyover Canada which is very Similar to the “Soarin” ride that we saw at Epcot center back in 2019! I guess it was a lot of fun.
After that they went to Subway and took the SkyTrain, which is a metro that sometimes goes high up and sometimes underground, back home. Their AirB&B is only two bus stops away from the SkyTrain station so they easily walked home in 10 minutes.
After dinner they tried going to the gym but it was packed. They ended up exploring the rooftop some more instead.
