Courtenay Update: Sometimes after I throw Maple the ball she will look back and see if I’m still playing with her. If I go inside she will drop the ball where she picked it up and go exploring for a bit near the barn.
Vancouver Update: My wife and kids had 11:30 am tickets for the Vancouver Aquarium (see photo to the right) and left the Air B&B around 10:30. The bus stop is just a few minutes away from their apartment building. They started with the ‘Survival of the Slowest’ exhibit and fell in love with a “sleepy sloth”. The kids ended up buying sloth plushies in the gift shop… Besides usual aquarium exhibits they got to watch seal and sea lion training sessions and the sea otters playing.

Next up, a horse-drawn carriage tour of Stanley park, but the carriage left just before they arrived. This did allow them to arrive to the apartment early to get ready for the trip back to Courtenay tomorrow morning. More time to do laundry, pack, and clean up the apartment. They need to leave tomorrow by 10 am as the ferry leaves at 11 am.
Back in Courtenay: Batman is getting used to me. He loves my whiskers (see photo to the left). He will come over for a pat and purr now.
I’ve been using Katie’s viola case a a prop to help get me up off her bed. It’s very low to the ground right now as they took it off the frame so that Batman would not open his scars by jumping up on it.
