Day #5579 – (Tue., Apr. 15, 2025) – Batman’s Belly Hair
The saga of getting the money out of my Etrade account continues. Apparently they can’t process it since I uploaded a duplicate form. Well, this is what the guy I talked to on Friday told me to do. So today, the guy made a note to ignore the other form and process this one… Let’s see if this works. It’s taking weeks to get money out of my account with this new “paper” form that they apparently require now that I’m living in Canada.
I checked in on Batman at noon today. Hair is starting to grow back on his belly (see photo to the right).
My wife picked up the kids after school today. Bobby is still recovering, so no soccer practice for him this evening. After my wife picked Katie up she took her to the “regular” dentist for a cleaning. Ortho is next week!
My chair broke so I went to Staples this evening to get a new one. I stopped off at Walmart and they had one for only $99, so I snapped that up. Much cheaper! Saving money!
This Sunday is Easter Sunday. In previous years, about now, I would be picking up plastic eggs and chocolates at Sam’s Club, Dollar Tree, or Walmart for our annual Sunday “Easter Egg Hunt”. Fortunately it has gotten easier over the years as I have dispensed with the rather tedious process of making a map, and placing eggs on our property in Chapel Hill to correspond to this map. For the past couple of years they really didn’t utilize the map and just ran around and got the eggs. This year the question is, are they too old for an Easter egg hunt, or would they still like to have it for the first time on our new property. I texted Katie when I was at Walmart this evening and she is going to ask Bobby and get back to me.
