Day #5610 – (Fri., May 16, 2025) – Katie’s Journal
Katie went to school today but Bobby is home. Bobby’s class had a field trip today but his mother didn’t want him to be outside in the rain all day.
Take a lot at Katie’s journal (see photo to the left). Beautiful, eh? She said that she likes making them because she can write down things that she wants to remember, put pictures everywhere because she is a visual person, and gets to experiment and be super artsy!
My wife went and got her COVID shot so she was not feeling the best today.
That automatic gate guy is sure taking his time to get his quote back to us. He’s in Italy visiting a factory right now, but he does chime in from time-to-time. He’s the last key ingredient to getting the ball rolling on this. We already have Dave at Tower Fencing, and Anthony the Electrician ready to do their part. Now to see what Scott, the auto gate guy, gives us in terms of a quote before we signal “Go”!
Katie wanted to be picked up at lunch time today. Bobby had a nap and played a bit of violin and online with Ethan as well. They read a bit of “Magic Tree House” before bed.
One year ago today was our last full day in North Carolina. One year ago tomorrow we were off to our new home in Courtenay, BC!
