Day #5633 – (Sun., June 8, 2025) – Brodie’s Birthday Party!
Bobby went to Brodie’s Birthday Party this afternoon. I guess Brody invited 30 kids! All 4-graders, including Bobby. Apparently Isaac and Milo were not invited, but that might have just been an oversight.
Bobby got wrestled and horse-played on the water slide, so he was all bruised and exhausted when he got home and went straight to the tub! I guess he even talked to Brody’s mom and she told the kids to calm down and play nicely.
Bobby’s class is going to the beach tomorrow, so I was thinking I would go out with him this afternoon and pick it out. He was so sore that he asked me to pick one up for him. I took Katie for the drive (Daddy/Daughter Day #160) and she was so hot that she just stayed inside the car with the air con while I went inside Walmart and picked one out (see photo to the right).
Her mother wanted her favorite Canadian cheddar cheese, and Katie wanted yogurt, but when we got to the Real Canadian Superstore Katie didn’t want to get out of the car and face the heat. I had to coax her out…
Katie and I then went to Starbucks to get her a nice cold drink so she could cool down!
When we go home I took the mower to the remaining section of the paddock before it was reclaimed by the woods. Now I just have to “weed wack” a bit, then it’s back to mowing…
My wife and the kids will be leaving for Lithuania on Monday, June 30th, three weeks from tomorrow. I will stay home with Maple & Batman. My wife said she was too busy to think of gifts for friends and family, so I suggested Rocky Mountain Chocolates gift boxes near Starbucks since everyone loves chocolate!
