Day #5634 – (Mon., June 9, 2025) – Electric Bike Arrives!
Today is the day in which Bobby’s class is going to the beach. When I picked him up at 2:30 he told me that he lad loads of fun running into the water and playing with his friends on the beach. She was some sore, he will sleep well tonight. He told me that he didn’t get much of a chance to use the bucket and shovel that I bought him yesterday at Walmart.
Bobby’s electric bike came today (see photo to the right). My wife had to sign for it. One of the advantages of a folding bike is that it comes practically assembled already. I just need to put the handlebars, seat, and pedals on, and charge it up.
Unfortunately the graduation present we’re giving Katie, a Cricut System, will not be here till Thursday. No problem, that’s only a couple of days away and it will give me time to ensure that the bike is set up and working properly.
I went to see the movie “Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning” this evening. This might be the last Tom Cruise action flick… we’ll see.
Before the movie started I stopped off at Canadian Tire to get a combination lock for Bobby’s new bike. We don’t want to have it stolen at school!
While I was out my wife had me pick up some sun cream for Bobby (he got sun burned) and a couple of gallons of milk.
My wife had some rather sad news to share today. They have decided to let her go from her job. I guess the big boss is not interested in accommodating someone who lives in Canada now, no matter how important their job is.
