Day #5636 – (Wed., June 11, 2025) – Ben From Gorilla Tag!
Katie stayed home from school today but will have to go tomorrow to accept her award. Bobby went to school and he was elated when I picked him up as I told him that Ethan’s Birthday Present finally arrived. Ethan got him a “Ben From Gorilla Tag” plushie (see photo to the left).
I finished assembling the electric bike that we are going to give Bobby as a graduation present on Thursday. I put the handle bars, seat, and pedals in place, but since it’s a foldable bike a lot of it was already assembled. It took a few hours to charge it, but it’s raring to go! It’s got quite a bit of pep to it as well. If it gives him a couple of years use it was well worth it. At that point we’ll decide if he needs to get a bigger one, if he is still riding bikes by then.
This evening Katie and I went to the Read Canadian Superstore for groceries. Here’s the list: guacamole, one-year aged cheddar cheese, shredded cheese, whole wheat bread, Nutella, apples, drinkable yogurt, maple syrup, apple juice boxes, orange juice boxes, fruit punch, milk, sushi, and bananas.
After picking up the groceries Katie and I went for a drive. We ended up on this dead end road in Comox (Moore Street & Hawkins Road) with a beautiful view of Goose Spit (see photo to the right).
Today my wife got approved for that AI bot training job! Last night she spent two hours on their math test. She said that the experience reminded her of the Math Olympiad. Now we need to get a prepaid Walmart cell phone so that she has a Canadian phone number so she can sign up for Canadian PayPal, which is how the company pays people.
