Bobby rode his bike to Huband Elementary for the first time today. I guess he pedaled most of the way, which is great! The whole idea of an electric bike is that you just use the motor to assist you on hills or when you get tired, and he’s doing that! Looks like taking Bobby to school and picking him up is a thing of the past, at least for a while…
I picked up Katie at Vanier at 3:10 pm this afternoon as my wife went to take the recycling in and then to Costco to renew our memberships.
There was a social at Bobby’s school this afternoon for parents and children. They wanted to know how many hamburgers and hot dogs everyone would want so that they could prepare. They had a long “Bouncy House”, which the kids loved! You can see Bobby working his way through it in the photo to the left. You can also see Bobby and a couple of his friends “all painted up” in the photo to the right. The biggest line was for the cotton candy! I told my wife that they should have planned ahead and put some in the little plastic bags for the kids like they used to sell at the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition when I was growing up
Bobby rode his bike to this event and met up with Kai, one of the first people to welcome him to Courtenay! We are in the process of organizing a play date for Bobby and him maybe on Monday. Bobby rode his bike home but I guess there was a pothole or something and he fell off. No injuries, just something to watch out for in the future.
This evening Katie and I went out for a drive. Daddy/Daughter Chat #35. We stopped off at McDonalds for a black coffee for me and a chocolate fudge sundae for her.
