Day #5653 – (Sat., June 28, 2025) – 20 Timbits

Bobby’s sleepover went well. He got sick in the AM so my wife went and got him and brought his sleeping back back, but he enjoyed himself. We’re thinking of maybe having a sleepover at our house once the family gets back from Europe.

Katie was stressed this evening so I took her out for Daddy/Daughter Chat #36! I was thinking I could help her learn to drive but she was to stressed out to even think about it. She didn’t want coffee, but we did end up getting a pack of 20 Timbits! After listening to her for a while I gave her some tips, and even recorded a couple of audio snippets for her:

  1. She needs to realize how special she already is. Other fifteen year old girls are fretting over their iPhones or boyfriends and she is trying to be a force for good in the world.
  2. She needs to find “one small action” that she can do EVERY day. It can be very small, like one SAT question or making her bed. The key is that no matter if she feels good or bad that day, it will get done. See how you feel after 30 days as you have been able to weather the storm and get it done no matter what. This builds a pattern of “I can do it” and “I’m not a victim of my hyper mind”.
  3. Remember to have fun as much as you can. Find joy in everything you do as happiness opens the door to good things and opportunities to come into your life. People like to help positive and happy and joyful people.

Katie created a new thumbnail for an upcoming video this evening (see photo to the right).

This evening Bobby said that tomorrow is going to be a big day because he needs to pack for their trip to Lithuania. My wife told him that she already packed his clothes. They are flying out on Monday. The flight from Vancouver is direct to Frankfurt via Lufthansa.

Laura’s cousin, a professional tennis player, is going to meet them at the airport. Her father is retired and lives in Portugal but had his own violin school.
