I took Bobby out to Poke Page this afternoon (see photo to the right). Effectively Daddy/Son Chat #20. He wanted the Peach Boba and we picked up a Taro Boba for his sister. As expected, he didn’t want to drink it in the store, so we took it home.
On the way over and back we talked about various subjects, such as his sleepover at Dominic’s, his upcoming trip to Europe, and silly stuff as well. For example, Bobby relayed the story about a bar that had a toe in it and the dare was to drink the liquid in the jar and touch the toe with your lips. Where did he ever hear this story? I told him that there used to be an urban legend when I was growing up about a person finding a fried rat inside their Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket… Not sure how true that is/was.
I also told Bobby the joke about “the woman who had two daughters, April and May. What was the mother’s name”. It’s all in the inflection of the voice, it can be a question “What is the mother’s name”? or “What is the mother’s name”. If it is the latter, then her name is “What”!
Katie and I went out for a drive tonight. We ended up on Dove Creek Road as the sun was going down. What a great time to view the horse farms! She didn’t want Starbucks or McDonalds tonight, so we mainly just talked about life and Europe.
