Day #5656 – (Tue., July 1, 2025) – Meeting Grandma!
It was a long day of flying with the time change wrecking the timeline and the system. My wife sent this note: “Time change is tough. I slept for maybe 20 minutes on the last flight, went to bed at 11 pm Vilnius time (1 pm Vancouver time) and still woke up at 2 am (4 pm Vancouver time) and 5 am (7 pm Vancouver time). Will try to get one more nap. Strangely enough I feel rested.“
In Frankfurt, a young girl from Prague, Czech Republic needed help with charging her phone so my wife let her use her setup. She just finished her exams after the first year of med school and was going on vacation to Corsica to meet her friends who were already there.
The “Fam” arrived in Vilnius this evening and my wife’s mother and oldest cousin Rita were there at the airport to greet them. Rita drove them to the apartment that they will be staying at (see photo to the right).
It’s lovely, but on the 3rd floor and no elevator, so it was difficult to lug all the luggage upstairs.
