Day #5658 – (Thu., July 3, 2025) – Passport Office

It was a rough night in Lithuania due to the jetlag. Bobby and my wife both woke up at 4:30 am. Katie pulled her first “all nighter”!

By 8 am they had all crashed, but had to wake up shortly after noon to go to the 1 pm passport appointment for the kids. Bobby’s passport was easy, but Katie’s was tough. My wife didn’t have her personal code and searching by her name ‘was difficult because she has three names’ so the lady couldn’t find her. They eventually figured it out so both kids now have Lithuanian passports.

The lady who was helping my wife said why do they even need those passports since they don’t speak Lithuanian. An Uber driver felt the need to shame my wife that the kids don’t speak Lithuanian.

After the passport appointment they all went to the kid’s grandmother’s house where they got to choose tons of jewelry (see photo to the right) and some clothes. They spent three hours there and had some food as well.

When they got back home they rested a bit and then my wife and Katie went to the local grocery store, bought a pizza among other things, and baked it for dinner.
