In Courtenay: Valentine the rooster hasn’t been wandering out of the barn for the past few days so I set up a water dish for him inside. The rat didn’t take the bait I set for him, so we’ll see… I watered the plants.
In Lithuania: The grocery store opened at 9am so my wife ran to get some milk and other supplies. After breakfast she took an Uber to see her dad and spent 3 hours with him. She told him about yesterday’s trip and shared all the photos with him. She set up an Amazon account for him and installed Kindle. She managed to get a free book from them, but had problems with the payment.

After she got home she took the kids to Gediminas Tower (see photo to the right). She remembered the Baltic Way, a peaceful political demonstration that occurred on 23 August 1989. Approximately two million people then joined their hands to form a human chain spanning 690 kilometers (430 mi) across the three Baltic states (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia), which at the time were occupied and annexed by the USSR and had a combined population of approximately eight million. Her family was there.
They took the long way down from the tower, walked by a few pretty churches, and went to have dinner at the restaurant that Bobby loves.
They arrived home at 7:30 pm and Bobby still had some time to play with his friends before bed.
