Day #433 (Sat., Mar. 12, 2011) – The Turtle
7am… There is this bird that comes to the tree outside my bedroom window every morning. It sings and sings until I get up, then it flies away…at which point I can’t get back to sleep…
We had a Skype with mom this morning. I find that we have to try to get the Skype in on the weekend as soon as possible. If not, there is always something that seems to come up. Mom liked seeing Katie do her impression of a lion…
I took Katie out for a walk this afternoon around the lake. We saw a turtle (see photo to the right)…and it did not appear to be afraid of us in the least. That’s kind of interesting given all the dogs that roam around the the lake.
We were hoping to have a new Lawrence Welk this evening (the other episodes are beginning to wear), but it was not to be. The London 2010 performance was on television instead. We taped that hoping that Katie would love the music, not noticing that it was Lawrence Welk.
