Day #5734 – (Wed., Sep. 17, 2025) – Backpack Finds

Look at what we found in Bobby’s backpack (see photo to the right).

Katie is still in a flux as to what to do with her life. I tell her to just do her best every day, try to have at least one moment of fun each day, and things will work out. She’s stressing out that she might not get into Yale, and even wondering if she should go to the US given the current climate there. I tell her that she has time to figure it all out, and she just needs to focus on the tasks at hand and the future will take care of itself. Even if she decides to stay here in Courtenay for an extra year after high school (something that she doesn’t want to do I might add), taking business classes at North Island College will only help, and then she can transfer to UVic or “wherever” after that. Currently I see a business degree in her future, and perhaps an MBA, and entrepreneur/business owner after that, but we’ll see…

The kids enjoyed group viola/violin class tonight. Katie mentioned that there is only one other teenager girl there now, so that makes things better.

My wife went to Bobby’s school for a meeting this evening. She was able to get a parking spot near the entrance which was nice.

My wife and Katie were up past midnight doing Katie’s math homework.
