Bobby went to school today. He felt well enough to even ride his bike. He’s looking forward to his next Huband Field Trip, which will be a forest exploring trip to Nymph Falls on Monday, November 3rd. This trip has been provided free of charge, transportation covered too, by Danu Folk School.
I told Bobby that when I was young, our schools were so poor that when we had a field trip the class would go out to the soccer field and the other kids would take turns tripping us… It took a while for that groaner joke to sink in… 🙂

My wife took Batman to the vet today (see photo to the left)! He needs to get his teeth cleaned and perhaps one extracted. He got his blood drawn and will go on painkillers for back/hips and therapy with Amy. It appears that he had a herniated disk and a hip bone was broken at some point that didn’t heal properly. He’s gained 1 kg since March and the vets are very happy about that.
Katie is back heavy into the homework again this evening. She’s looking into “Solar Power” now and we discussed how the real issue is not getting the solar power from the sun, but having some means in which to store it. Tesla has made great strides in battery technology, but it’s not quite there yet. Maybe AI will be able to solve this problem for us?
My wife got a request to apply for a volunteer position in statistics at “Island Heath”. It’s not paying, but will provide a lot of connections if she does need a job and her current UNC job does indeed to “bye bye” one day. It’s based out of Victoria, so she may need to drive back and forth from time-to-time, but that’s okay.
