Today was one of those rare days in which it didn’t rain. This seems to be rare in the fall here in the Comox Valley and it only gets worse during November. We have all our Halloween decorations on the balcony off Bobby’s room up now (see photo to the left).
Bobby continues to express how happy he is to be here in Courtenay. He has so many friends here and we got talking about tomorrow being “pizza” for school lunch!
With Friday night being Halloween we have the dual issue of taking the kids out “Trick or Treating” or staying home to hand out treats to the kids. We’re still a bit up in the air about this, but I might go out with Bobby for a bit and then back home to hand out the treats. We will see…
I went to Costco for supplies this evening. Bobby mentioned that he had “Bacon Bits” at school one day and wanted me to pick some up. I thought he was referring to snack packets, but they did have a big bag of bacon bits that go on salads. As it turns out, it was this big bag of bacon bits that he was talking about, so I will pick them up the next time I go. I also got a 6-pack of chicken noodle soup for Katie. I thought that everyone might like “Shrimp Tempura” tacos, so I picked up one of those for dinner as well.
Katie has expressed an interest in watching “Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”, a tv special that I watched as a kid. I thought that she might want to watch it tonight, but she has too much homework to do. Maybe this weekend.
