It’s Canadian Remembrance Day today so both kids are off at school. Katie still needs to finish off her homework though as she will be leaving for a Rotary Club/Interact weekend on Friday.
Katie and I went for a drive this afternoon, effectively Daddy/Daughter Chat #40. She felt like something sweet so we went to Tim Hortons. She was excited to see the white hot chocolate, but it sure looked better on the menu with the whipped cream and sprinkles on top. When they gave it to us it was in a paper cup with a plastic lid (see photo to the right). The lid was unlike those Katie was used to so I had to show her how it worked. She was also excited to hear that they had a strawberry filled donut but was disgusted with the fact that it was jam filled rather than a natural strawberry flavoring. Tim Hortons just took another two notches down in her eyes.
Bobby went over to our neighbor Brodie’s house to play street hockey today. This is the first time I heard of Bobby playing this game that took up so much of my youth. When you play with Brodie you almost always have to get used to having his brothers around. They kind of operate like a pack! It’s good that they are a nice family.
Bobby was watching “The Flash” again this afternoon and I told him that he would probably like “The Arrow”. Unfortunately it’s not streaming on Netflix anymore like it used to. I remember that it used to be on the CW network in the US, but am not sure how to get it in Canada.
