My wife drove Katie to pick up her friend to Soulina and they a contact drove them to a resort in Lake Cowichan for the “Rotary Youth Leadership Awards”. You can see their agenda in the photo to the right.
I was going to drive Bobby to Huband but he opted to ride his bike. He aced his vocabulary test today on “The Taste of Blackberries”. He told me that a fellow student showed him how to make bracelets out of elastic bands. He had a smoothie today for lunch!
My wife is in the process of returning all the Ann Taylor clothes that she purchased from the US. Katie will be keeping the suit that she likes and that fit her. She will be wearing it on her upcoming trip to Vancouver for “Model UN”.
Katie’s math report came back today and the teacher is singing her praises:
Katie has demonstrated exceptional skill and understanding in the areas of Trigonometry, Polynomials, and Roots/Powers throughout the course. Katie consistently applies concepts with great accuracy, and her ability to solve complex problems in these areas is outstanding. In Trigonometry, they show a strong grasp of both fundamental and advanced principles, applying them confidently to solve real-world problems. In Polynomials, Katie excels at simplifying expressions and factoring with ease, while her understanding of Roots and Powers is thorough, allowing her to work through challenging equations with precision. Her commitment to mastering the material is evident in both her classwork and assessments. Katie is a model of diligence, consistently demonstrating critical thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. Keep up the excellent work!
My wife had a fantastic meeting with a liver clinic physician and support staff in Victoria! It’s the only outpatient liver clinic for patients with chronic issues in Canada and they see it reducing admissions. They want to prove it and spread the model to other places. I will be trained on “RedCap” by their statistician – what a great connection!
This evening I said “Kamusta” (Tagalog for “hello”) to the Filipino cashier at Tim Horton’s and made her day… 🙂
