Day #5817 – (Tue., Dec. 9, 2025) – Roaming Chickens

The chickens love to get out of the coop and roam around in the “real world” when they can. The photo to the right shows the six chickens we currently have.

Katie had a dentist appointment today so the plan was for me to drive Bobby to his violin lesson at Daisy’s this afternoon. As it turned out, Katie finished her dentist appointment early and I dropped Bobby off at Braidwood Dental and my wife would take him and Katie to Daisy’s place in Royston.

On the way home they stopped off at Wendy’s on Cliffe Avenue. It’s the only Wendy’s in town, and it makes you wonder why Burger King has not worked it’s way into the Comox Valley landscape? I see that they have one in Nanaimo. That might be a nice “day trip” for Bobby if he misses Burger King…

The plan was to open the Advent Calendars when the kids got home from their viola/violin lessons, but it was not to be. My wife took Maple out for a walk, and Bobby went for a bath, something he had been talking about in the car all the way home. I was exhausted from my sore knee so I went to bed, and by the time I woke up Bobby was in bed. I told them to go ahead and open their Advent Calendar slots for today if they wanted to, but no news as of late…
