Bobby was not feeling well today so he stayed home from school. Katie went to school though. The kids are all excited because this is the last week of school before Christmas break!

I picked up Katie at Vanier this afternoon and we went for a drive, effectively Daddy/Daughter Chat #41. The sun was out today and I actually had to wear my sunglasses! I can’t remember the last time we had sun here in the Comox Valley. It actually might be last September. At any rate, it was nice to see it and we did enjoy it. We ended up at Goose Spit and the sun and calm water made for a nice relaxing scene. On the way there we went to Tim Hortons and Katie picked up a vanilla sprinkled donut (see photo to the left). It’s her favorite donut at Tim Hortons since they don’t seel strawberry sprinkled donuts like Dunkin Donuts in the US.

This evening the trucks all decked out with Christmas lights went parading through our neighborhood (see photo to the right).
I picked up some “layer” chicken feed and some more shavings at Shar-Kare today.
Katie got a 100% on her French quiz and a 100% on her English quiz!
