Happy New Years 2026!
Both Bobby and my wife started feeling sick last night so they didn’t go out and join the little assembly of neighbors on the street outside our house! There were no bag pipes there this year.
Bobby napped with Maple for three hours today (see photo to the right).
Katie worked on Model UN papers for almost four hours today. At 5 pm she met up with some other students to go over VMUN (Vancouver Model United Nations) prep work. Katie is writing two papers from Finland’s perspective.
Six of the kids were from Vanier (4 girls and 2 guys). Only one girl will be in the same committee as Katie. Two of the kids were older and they helped the younger ones. My wife picked them up late this evening, around 9 pm!
Katie said that they really didn’t end up working that much…they mostly talked… 🙂
Katie is pretty down, she feels other kids do sports, have jobs and she’s barely surviving. Daisy told her not to compare herself to others.
