Doesn’t Batman look chill these days? (see photo to the right).
Katie and I went out this afternoon to see about an ice cream cake as her birthday is tomorrow. On the way we stopped off at “Codes Country Lanes” to book a lane for tomorrow as they were not answering my phone calls. The lady said that they were closed tomorrow, but now I see online that they are closed Monday and Tuesday. I wonder if she got mixed up and thought it was Sunday?
Back to the birthday cake, we looked for them in the frozen food section of the store but there were none. I asked one of the workers and he directed me to the bakery section, where they have their own selection of little freezers. Katie picked out a “Cookies & Cream” one, and then we went looking for candles. As she’s turning 16 we looked for “1” and “6”, but they didn’t have any. As a result, we picked up a pack of individual candles so she will have 16 individual candles on her cake this year.
This afternoon we had a family meeting. We’re trying to determine how best to cut down Bobby’s screen time. Unfortunately, once you’ve been on the screens, it’s hard to find an activity that compares to the excitement. Bobby did list that he enjoys playing with his friends more, so perhaps more play dates? He also mentioned how much he likes the trampoline, but it’s been raining so much as of late.
