Bobby’s home sick today. My wife drove Katie to school this morning, and picked her and drove home for lunch, then back to Vanier at 1 pm to pick the rest of the VMUN kids up for the van drive to the Nanaimo ferry. This is the VMUN (Vancouver Model UN) weekend!
There were two boys from Highland and two 11 grade girls from Vanier. On the way to Nanaimo they were talking about shopping and going to eat Pho. One of the girls grew up in Vancouver. The girls were planning on doing a fashion show of their outfits.
They are staying at a very fancy hotel in Vancouver. They went out to get shawarmas and burgers for dinner this evening. You can see the food and the view from their hotel in the photo to the right. Katie is super excited that Vivian, a 12th grader from Vanier, is INFJ!
Bobby is well into Season #2 of “Stranger Things” now.
None of the Walmart knee braces I picked up yesterday fit me so I returned them this evening. I love the Walmart (and Amazon) return policies. So hassle free.
My Instant Pot gave up the ghost this evening. It’s been sputtering out liquid the last few days but today the lights just came on blinking and won’t go off. I looked online and it said that if cleaning wouldn’t fix it then I would need to get some parts and exchange them. I’m not going to mess with a pressure cooker so I just went ahead and ordered another one. The one that is coming on Tuesday courtesy of Amazon is the “Instant Pot Duo Plus 6 Quart 9-in-1 Electric Pressure Cooker, Slow Cooker, Rice Cooker, Steamer, Sauté, Yogurt Maker, Warmer & Sterilizer, 15 One-Touch Programs,Stainless Steel/Black“. 12% off at $165.30 CDN, but I probably won’t use all these features!
Oh, and Katie got 92, 94, and 97 on her biology tests.
