Day #5865 – (Mon., Jan. 26, 2026) – “Imposter” Syndrome

Bobby went to school this morning but Katie has a flex day and is home. Kristina and Firoz left for Victoria this morning.

Katie is suffering from “imposter” syndrome today so we went for a drive. Apparently “imposter” syndrome is more common with girls. She saw a cow on Dove Creek Road and got out to go say hi (see photo to the right).

Katie wanted to go to Wendy’s for a cheeseburger. After driving around for a bit she wanted to go to McDonalds for an Oreo McFlurry. We drove around for a bit more and she got tired and wanted to go home so she could take a nap. Her nervous system is shot after all this activity in Vancouver.

Unfortunately Connor, the boy down the road, came home for a playdate with Bobby, so it wasn’t the quietest of times for Katie to have a nap. She tried, even with headphones, but in the end gave up.

Tomorrow is Katie’s first day of school for the new semester. She will be taking social studies with Andrew Young, pre-calculus with Crosby Mtawali, guitar level #2 with David Weiss, and integrated learning class with Amber MacLeod. She’s kinda stressing out that she doesn’t have any friends in any of these classes, but I tell her that she will make some new ones.
