Bobby is home sick today but Katie went to school.
There was a “Model UN” meeting after school today so I picked Katie up at 4:30 pm. I saw her approach the car with Jax, who will be leading the “Model UN” at Vanier this year. He waved to me as he got in his car. Seems like a nice guy.
They are having a competition for one student from Vanier to go to Ottawa in May (see photo to the right). Katie and Jax are both entering the contest. They will be covering trip with $2000, so quite the opportunity!
Katie and I went for a drive after I picked her up today. She told me that she “might” have an advantage in this contest as she can leverage the fact that although she was born in the US, she will always consider herself Canadian. We’ll see who wins! I used to live in Ottawa and told Katie it is absolutely beautiful there in May!
On our drive we stopped off at McDonalds. Katie got the $5 McValue meal with a cheeseburger, and an add-on of nuggets as well. Let’s call this Daddy/Daughter Chat #43.
